Gallery February 21, 2016 by englishstone Inlandia Institute Poets Present at 4th Annual San Gabriel Valley Literary Festival Brutus Chieftain emceed the Inlandia Institute segment. Brutus also read from his latest manuscript. James Ducat read a powerful group of poems that came out of a random knife attack he experienced. Ducat relaxing after his set Kenji Liu, national winner of the inaugural Hillary Gravendyk Prize, read from his prize winning manuscript. Liu’s book, Map of an Onion, will be available for sale in March of 2016. Angela Penaredondo, winner of the Hillary Gravendyk regional prize, read from All Things Lose Thousands of Times. Penaredondo and and Liu’s prize-winning books will launch at this years AWP conference in Los Angeles. David Stone’s set of poems closed Inlandia’s portion of the festival.
